Standard Serving Size for Dairy Products

Enjoy plenty of low-fat milk and milk products as they are a rich source of protein, calcium and a number of vitamins. It's recommended that you aim for at least two servings each day of milk and milk products, following are standard serving sizes for different types of dairy products:


  • 1 glass of milk
  • 1 pottle of yoghurt (150g)
  • 2 slices of cheese (40g) - equivalent to the size of two dominoes
  • 2 scoops of ice cream (140g)


In order to get a good feel for quantities you may want to use kitchen measuring cups for serving your food in the short term.
